I'm Right Here At Oriental Hotel And People Say I'm Dead, Awujale Speaks On Death Rumour

The Awujale of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona has debunked the rumours which went round like fire yesterday saying the 83-year old monarch has passed on. According to Awujale he was at Oriental Hotel in Lagos when the news broke.

Reports have it that, the monarch has been in the hotel for about two weeks due to medical treatment he is getting at a Lagos hospital.

Speaking on telephone to NAN, the Oba said; “Why are people spreading rumours about my death,
when I am right here at Oriental,” the baffled King questioned.

He enjoined journalists to check veracity of their information, before rushing to publish.
