Florida Mother Throws A Pot Of Boiling Water On Her Cheating Boyfriend & Their 2-Month Old Baby

Police in Florida say a scorned girlfriend threw a pot of boiling water on her boyfriend as he lay on a bed with the couple's 2-month-old son.

Yva Monord, 22, has been charged with aggravated domestic battery and aggravated child abuse in Saturday's incident, which left her boyfriend and baby with severe injuries.

According to an arrest report, the infant suffered second- and third-degree burns to his chest and
arm.The burns make up about 5 per cent of his body.

Police say on Saturday, Monord boiled a pot of water to sanitize her son's pacifiers and bottles, but she then carried the piping-hot liquid into the bedroom, where her boyfriend was sleeping, and intentionally knocked it onto the bed.

At first, according to the arrest report cited by the station News4Jax, the 23-year-old man thought he was the one who accidentally knocked the pot off a side table in his sleep.

After initially denying that her actions were intentional, Monord eventually admitted that she was upset with her boyfriend for cheating on her, according to police.

She also told police she did not know their son was sleeping next to Perppignan because the man was covered with a blanket.
